Pros

Surrounded by intelligent and wonderful colleagues, made many great friends that I still keep in touch to this day. Perks and benefits were great. Sony's technology is still leading the industry, I really wished they could market their products better.

Cons

Titles were all saturated, everyone was director back then. Upper management were not capable to provide us with the clear direction how to turn around business models. Too slow in making critical decisions. Not much direction given to the non-Japanese management. Massive layoff damaged the company culture severely.

The end has finally come

Pros

It was great while it lasted. But now that the e-commerce website we built has finally come down, we can look back fondly on the things that were great: the teamwork, the talented co-workers, the willingness to try new things.

Cons

In retrospect, however, we were only able to be as good as our failing product lines allowed us to. Apple beat Walkman. Samsung beat Bravia. And on and on.

Pros

lots of responsibilities within one position career opportunities at local and international level opportunity to interact with a lot of departments

Cons

it is sometimes difficult to maintain work/life balance the offices are usually not in city centers and not ideally located for commuting solution
