Pros

Big corporation - looks good on resume. Not many other pros the last I knew.

Cons

Lost their cutting edge on technology. Too slow to be first to market. Management is primarily Japanese so there is not much career growth to be made. What non-Japanese managers exist have created a strong internal "old boys network." Corporation culture is very much about the corporation - long hours expected and very little work/life balance.

Pros

Lots of room for advancement if you are willing to work for it. The salary and benefits are above average compared to other companies. Perks are amazing. Pretty much have access to all current and legacy electronics. Everything in my house is Sony.
