Too much direction from japan Lackluster performance over last 10 years led to considerable instability and restructuring. Lack of Marketing investment to drive sales and brand awareness in US. Massive layoff over last 5 years or so. Understanding the importance of profitability and Sales Sony often made rash but necessary decisions about key products, and staffing reductions. Loyalty to organization means nothing even with results
