Pros

Sony is somewhat conservative yet loose like a DOT com. While your benefits package may not be as high as the big DOT coms, it is very hard to be laid off or fired at SIE unless you really do a lot to warrant it.

Cons

Because it is so hard to fire / let go, there are sometimes long time employees who get burned out but won't leave and drag some people down.

Pros

Lots of trust given. You have a lot of responsibilities. Great people to work with. Great benefits if you love games and playing them. No micro management. You get to speak to the best in the industry. Great E Nets and groups within PlayStation. VERY diverse group of people. Pay good comparable to medium tech companies and game companies.

Cons

Sometimes slow to make change in the company. Doesn't pay a lot in comparison to bigger tech companies and promotion is difficult.
