Has potential, but lacking drive and management
Pros
Creates strong television content (both narrative and reality), forward-thinking in terms of technology and workflow, great compensation and career guidance within company. Their health/401k/stock options are incredible for all levels of employment.
Cons
- Sony has a lot of potential to be the best entertainment brand in the world, but is often dragged down by politics and "too many cooks in the kitchen". There are far many executives who work on redundant tasks and several are still employed due to tenure and do very little to advance the company. - While there is much emphasis on using technology to increase workflow efficiency, many in the higher levels of employment rely on traditional strategies and are unwilling to evolve with the changing industry. - Work/Life Balance is non-exisistant. Massive layoffs have become an expectation and rather than fill old positions they simply add-on to current responsibilities, causing people to burn-out easily and be in constant fear of their jobs.
