Pros

It can be an interesting place to work if you are a fresh graduate hoping to explore the publishing world. As an experienced professional, I had nothing new to learn.

Cons

Upper management made some terrible decisions about promoting the right people. They gave managerial positions to some underserving, arrogant, and fake people who were ruining the work culture. Following through on the commands of such incompetent managers was extremely stressful for me. It was an awful experience, and it was the key reason I left.

The management of Sourcebooks is disappointing. The managers here do not possess any leadership skills, which makes them unqualified to be leaders. If you're expecting to be supported or given resources, then you will surely be disappointed because the management is not capable of providing these things.

My talented and friendly colleagues are the only positive things about Sourcebooks.

Cons

Unfortunately, most people in the management are incapable of effectively leading other people. It's very dissappointing because the management promised me plenty of things during my application. But at things rate, I doubt any of the promises were ever going to happen. The work environment is horrible, but having to deal with the management is ever worse.
