I have been working at South College full time for a few years and my experience has been nothing but joyful and rewarding. I began this job with no prior knowledge of working in higher education and was nervous of what I was getting myself into. What the job has provided me thus far makes this the right choice for anyone in a similar situation. The overall work environment is positive and upbeat with a very supportive staff/management. The College is private family owned and prides itself on treating everyone as family. This could not be truer. Management is willing to work with everyone to train effectively, encourage creativity, and promote personal growth.

Cons

As with every job, you will have your good and bad days, but if you are willing to adapt and ask questions when you are stuck then those bad days will be very few and far between.

They overpay you, otherwise no one would work there.

Cons

You are forced to manipulate and decieve prospective students. The online school is treated like a warehouse, do whatever it takes to enroll a student. No matter what you do it's never good enough for management. All the management comes from former failed private for-profit. 3-5 days of training before you are on the phone. Prepare to harass the same group of people 3 times a day every day. They make you dial 200-300 times a day to the same people. High turn over rate, for a reason.
