Pros

weekends (except for the tellers at some locations) you are typically off. The branch hours are good. the work isn't too hard and there is help from internal resources if you get stuck. They really treat you like family if you get to the right branch. it all depends on management. It all depends on management. They set the tone. They feed you all the time . every time we are short staff we are getting food ordered for the staff from restaurants. and not cheap places either. lots of mid-grade places like steak houses, lots of pizza and occasionally more expensive places. They are not hard on sales like you won't lose your job for not selling at least for my position, but you just won't be able to participate in incentives if you don't make the goals.

Cons

I have been employed here for 16 years. new girl came in making same exact amount as me and she had no experience. if you come new, they pay, if your loyal they nickel and dime you. I'm complacent here but I know I can get paid way more if I were only brave enough to leave but I'm still happy here. If you're looking to get paid a lot, I would apply with a very high request and negotiate down a bit especially if you plan on staying for years. In a nutshell, loyal employees are not paid enough.

No onboard training, no support, no help.

Pros

No micromanaging, not so hard on pushing sales goals.

Cons

If you make the bank money (specifically the commercial team) you can get away with anything- from talking about swastikas, talking about collecting confederate flags, yelling in the middle of the lobby while the bank is open, talking about the murder of George Floyd and how he was a criminal who deserved what he got. As long as your skin is white you can get away with breaking any type of policy in this bank. If you want a bank who does not support people of color- this one is for you.
