Pros

Company is part of the community infrastructure (for good or for bad). When you work here, you have an opportunity to make a difference in reducing carbon emissions and greenhouse gases.

Cons

The decision making for the layoffs in 2024 and upcoming layoffs in 2025 was questionable. If you did not see eye to eye with your direct manager, resulting in questionable criticisms or low annual review scores, you are a goner, even if you perform at a higher level than your peers. At least in HR, annual goals are tied to projects and secondary tasks, and primary job responsibilities are not given any consideration. The people making the decisions really don't know much about the actual job duties, but are more concerned with not making any waves with the department Director, who is more concerned with budgets than performance.
