Pros

Pay and Human Resources focus on development of employees.

Cons

Nepotism, Retaliation, Favortism. Hiring based on you sharing the same ethnicity as the hiring manager. Managers only promote their own ethnicity. You have to find your sponsors or there is no movement. Lots of promotions and hiring based on race and promotions on friendships. Reorganizations are an opportunity for upper management to get back at employees critical of them. Vice-President millionaires only motivated in protecting their jobs.
