      It is a great place to begin a career. Management is great, the opportunities to learn are great, opportunity to explore new areas is open,

      It is a very large company, they are currently not trying to expand, health benefits seem high, pay could be more.

      Pros

      the company truly cares about their employees and customers. They are one of the few companies that "delivers service after the sale." They expect their employees to be accountable for their actions during work hours as well as in their personal life. They stress to all employees that the employee is a reflection of Southern Co 24/7. They believe in holding their employees to very high standards w/ a true sense of loyalty and integrity. Family is very important to the company and when making decisions management keeps in mind the effect that changes will make on the employee and their family unit as a whole.

      many advancements opportunities are located only in large metro areas.
