We appreciate your feedback and are so glad that you're enjoying your time at Sovos! The culture and people are the best parts of our company, hands down. You’re right that the tax industry can be volatile, but we think that’s what makes us such a great resource for our clients - Taxes aren’t going anywhere. What does change are the global regulations and compliance issues surrounding taxes that can change quickly and rapidly – which is what our software is uniquely positioned to address. We continue to look for new and exciting ways to remain on the cutting-edge and be a market leader in this space. Joe Healey

Pros

Awesome people and some products are world class. Others average. Top leadership are simply some of the best in the business world. If you work hard, stay positive and get results the org will trust you with more. My bumpy start has now turned into my favorite job. They supported me, trusted me and with time the results came. Not for C players but for top notch people you will love it.

Cons

Can be long hours/average pay

Thank you for the feedback and thank you even more for being a part of our team for the past 2 ½ years! We are so proud of our team here at Sovos. We agree - we have the best of the best! Hearing that you feel supported and trusted in your role is fabulous and we aim to make sure all our employees feel that same level of empowerment. Based on feedback similar to yours, we have implemented a number of programs to help people hit the ground running. New Hire Orientation has been relaunched as First48, and many of our departments have dedicated bootcamps to give our employees the technical and product knowledge they need to succeed. We are always open to new ideas as to how to make our onboarding process better! Just as we are always looking for ways to improve our processes – the same goes for our products. We totally agree that we have game-changing products and there are always areas where we can improve them. Our R&D teams are hard at work executing S1 and our UX/UI teams are ensuring this work is user oriented and customer focused. Finally, thank you for your advice. We know that salary and benefits are extremely important to our employees. We do a lot of research to benchmark our salaries and benefit programs against similar companies in similar geographies to ensure our wages are fair and competitive. Our merit based performance reviews also help ensure that. In addition, there are regular opportunities for salary increases via promotions and merit increases which are based off performance. We are very focused on creating a total rewards package that our employees love, which includes things like HSA matching contributions, myTime flexible time off, our 401K program and more. We evaluate this year-round and we will continue to look for ways to enhance all parts of our benefits package. Make sure you attend one of the Open Enrollment sessions coming up!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We absolutely agree that Sovos is the kind of company where you can gain experience. We have built many of our practices, from hiring to learning & development, to help talented people grow in their careers. Thirty percent of our employees experienced a promotion or job change last year, and that is a number we take a lot of pride in. I want to address your comment about not valuing experience, though. At Sovos we believe that hiring for culture fit and talent FIRST gives people the best chance to be successful in our unique culture. We don’t hire an individual for their individual contribution in isolation. We hire people for what they bring to our global team. That doesn’t mean we don’t care about experience, though, and that’s an understandable point of confusion. We actively look to bring in people with the right experience and skills, but that is the final part of the process because while we can help people learn and grow to build the experience they need, we can’t change people’s values or behaviors to help them fit into our team. Finally, thank you for your advice. Effective communication has been a strategic focus at Sovos – and listening is a vital piece of communication. We have recently rolled out a communications best practice with a heavy focus on how to listen to each and every person on the team and use that feedback. We're focused on better enabling all our managers to be genuine, effective communicators who, in turn, can better help our people develop successful career paths with us. Thanks again for your thoughts! Eric
