Thanks for the feedback. You’re right – the events, the milestones, and, more importantly, I think, the friendships that we celebrate when we are in the office are so impactful. And while I miss celebrating all of those things in person, I am also very grateful to work for a company that was able to so decisively and efficiently move from a complete in-office work environment to over 1,500 employees working remotely in a matter of a few days. The fact that we have such strong ties to our co-workers, both in the offices that we work in and around the world, is one of the reasons we were so successful in that transition. We can’t say exactly what the future holds – but we can say that we will continue to foster collaboration virtually no matter where we are physically located. If you have any ideas for how to bring our teams together that we haven’t yet tried – let me know.
I do want to address your comment about working extra hours. There are times of the year when we, at Sovos, are very busy. We have a promise to keep with our customers to deliver the best and most reliable solutions, and we hold ourselves to that standard. That being said, it sounds like this is more than seasonal and you may be feeling a struggle between your work/life balance. And it's no surprise, many are struggling especially since your home is now your office! Because of this, we do our best to educate on work-life harmony. If you are not familiar with the time-off policy in your region, I would encourage you to reach out to your local HR team. We know how important personal time is to our employees, and I want to make sure you understand what is available to you. Also, we recently held 3 global webinars inviting outside consultants into the organization to speak about mental health, and the importance of working with passion, but also making conscious choices to do what’s best for you. And if that means raising your hand and stepping away for a bit, great – your leaders need to know this. This type of action speaks to our Be Proactive core value and raising your hand when something is amiss. If you feel that you are not getting that opportunity, I’d like the chance to discuss it further – please contact me directly so we can come to a solution. Thank you again for the feedback.
