We opt to have it within our marketing structure and view it as a critical connection between marketing and sales. For those business development representatives who go on to careers in marketing, it’s a foundation for understanding the needs of sales teams; for those who ultimately move to sales, it’s a chance to learn how marketing generates leads that ultimately get qualified for AEs.
