Pros

We have great customers. It makes you feel happy to help them.

Cons

Confusing architecture. Poor engineering leadership. Slow innovation. Red flag when they fired people that spoke up for necessary technical improvements.

Thank you for your feedback, and thank you for your comment regarding our customers. We are privileged to help businesses all over the world thrive through safe, frictionless compliance in a high-risk environment. Ensuring our products offer the reliability and scalability that our customers depend on is a continuous and incremental process, and I wonder if this is why it feels somewhat slow for you. This process depends on both our leadership and on the ability and insight of our talented and trusted team, and I assure you that we do not let people go for voicing concern – that would go against everything we believe in as a company. At Sovos, new ideas are welcomed. I’m really sorry to hear that your experience has been so different to the one we strive to create for our valued employees. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experience further, so please do reach out to me directly, or to your HR representative if you would feel more comfortable. Thank you again for your feedback. - Eric Lefebvre, CTO

Pros

Looks good on resume and that’s about it. Oh and the pay, great pay.

Cons

This company rarely hires POC. Look at the website there is little to no diversity. They claim to want to hire people who are capable of doing the work and yet they rarely ever give someone the chance. It’s disheartening to work a company like this.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, and I am sorry that this has been your experience here. Sovos is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. Our journey started in earnest two years ago with the launch of an intensive DE&I audit, followed by creating my position on the Executive Leadership Team to develop DEI strategy and implement change. It’s important to realize DEI is a journey and it takes time to realize our goals. We’ve made a lot of progress in the last year – including hiring more new employees from underrepresented groups last fiscal year than in previous years. We are being intentional in implementing actions to exceed last year’s progress this fiscal year in both hiring and development. We have formed partnerships with several organizations to help us on these missions. I agree that our website needs updating, what we looked like two years ago is not what we look like today. And what we look like today is not what we are going to look like two years from now. I understand your desire to have faster progress and your passion is both obvious and appreciated. I would love to share more information with you about our DEI progress to date, our goals for the future, and discuss your feedback directly. Please reach out if you’d like to take me up on that offer. You area also welcomed to send suggestions to diversity_inclusion@sovos.com.

Thanks for your feedback. I know what you mean, my co-workers are my favorite part of Sovos too. Our organization is made up of so many talented and inspiring individuals who do incredible work. I always consider myself lucky to work alongside all of you. And I agree, there are areas where we can do better. Meetings are a good example, it’s an area where we know that we can improve. The pivot to having so many of our employees working remotely due to our new flexible guidelines has certainly impacted the number of meetings here. We have had our leadership development program and other focus groups tackle this problem in the past. If you have some ideas about how to ensure meetings are a good use of our time, I would love to hear them. And that holds true for everyone, we are always looking for feedback on ways that we can do better. My door, and the doors of all of Sovos’ leaders and HR members, are open if you or anyone wants to share feedback directly. Thanks, again, for sharing and we are glad you are here.
