Work on cool things with exciting short, mid, and long term goals. Good coworkers (professionally and socially) Good communication throughout company You're given lots of freedom with the work you do (see cons) Lots of opportunity and flexibility to move up or around within company

Cons

Management weak at times - not always clear what you should be working on (see pros) Compensation fair but not great compared to employee commitment.

TONS of responsibility Great perks Surrounded by insanely smart people Aggressive management strategy & high expectations drive high performance The mission (colonize Mars) is literally the coolest company mission possible.

Cons

Long hours if you don't know how to strike a personal balance Some benefits lack compared to other companies (eg. no 401k matching) but it's easily made up for with other benefits Not as highly paid as some other tech industry employees
