      Upbeat work environment Food on site, billable to paycheck free coffee, barista and pot LOTS of overtime On Site Medical and Dental

      Cons

      LOTS of overtime Young company still developing systems and standards Regular changes to many job aspects Base pay is low, need to work overtime to compensate

      Pros

      As an electronics design engineer, SpaceX provides ample opportunities to work on a variety of different circuits and systems. The work is exciting, fast paced, and rewarding. Nothing can beat the working on company's current and future missions. For myself, the work-life balance is great. I am able to balance work and family. The SpaceX team is an exceptional group of people to work with, talented, driven, and supportive through the design/development process.

      Cons

      There is so many pieces that need to come together at the same time that it can get very busy around a deliverable milestone, providing review and support to colleagues while delivering to your own objectives. There is no 401k matching (at the time I give this review) option, which I have been accustomed to having worked at five other engineering companies

      Pros

      - People trust me to do a good job and don't micromanage. - I can work fairly flexible hours as long as I get done what I'm supposed to get done. - The people on my team are fantastic. They're friendly and great people to work with. - The work is generally interesting.

      Cons

      - I sometimes work very long hours. This is due to my own initiative to get stuff done, and sometimes because I'm too optimistic on Monday about what I can get done in a week.
