These individuals tend to misuse their authority, potentially leading to bullying, intimidation, and a hostile workplace. This can significantly impact employee morale, productivity, and even lead to negative physical and mental health consequences. They can get away with it because lack of communication and accountability from upper leadership. Technicians have no real channel to voice concerns, as HR appears disengaged and lazy, so they are unresponsive to complaints or HR will say they are not interested in any complaints. Team supervisors hold excessive power, including the ability to fire technicians at anytime without prior notice. With no checks or balances in place, they essentially run their teams like isolated kingdoms, which was rumored to take place in California location. Unfortunately some supervisor, who transferred out from California carried over the nasty dysfunction with them. If you are lucky you might be placed in good supervisor's team, who value professionalism and are respected by team members, but there are only few of them left because they have been losing all the good supervisors to competitor.
