      +Part of a greater purpose +Competitive Pay +Fast pace environment +Fun to be around rocket testing +Good benefits (on-site cafeteria, monthly car wash, health/wellness reimbursement, etc) +Intern Speaker Series (various managers give presentations/Q&A about their respective fields) +Interesting and challenging projects +Never a shortage of work +HR Sponsored Intern activities +Assigned mentors +Intern housing is really nice and affordable

      -Expected to work more hours than most companies (50 hrs/week, as opposed to the normal 40) -McGregor is a bit far from any big cities

      Pros

      The CNC machines through out the machine shop are world class machines mills & lathes even the machine tooling is also world class. It is a pleasure to be working in this environment with such a talented group of individuals across the board .

      Cons

      It is not easy to fine the right employee to work the extended working hour also have the proper skill set . The CNC machines these days are so advance and have many machining options up to 9 machining axis not just anyone can run these machines .

      Pros

      SpaceX is a fantastic company to work for. We do put in many hours working, that leave me not only exhausted physically, but mentally also. I came here with many years’ experience in the aircraft industry and it was very hard at first to adapt to the environment. Once you get into your head the only hold back from success is you, the work becomes a mission to succeed as a team. What we have done here is history making with our minds being the only limit. The employees here can be somber at one moment and explosive with joy the next. I hope to be here for many more years to come and see reality come alive when we land on Mars.

      Cons

      Some people need to leave the 1920’s management style at the door.
