      Pros

      The mission is what brought me to work at SpaceX and what kept me working there. I was fortunate to work with great people on some amazing projects and build a wealth of knowledge and experience.

      Cons

      Long hours leading to burn out. Through multiple years of employment I saw a transition of leadership by respect to leadership by fear. If you are unwilling, they will find someone who is. Recent 10% workforce reduction that was not based on merit and is bad for team morale

      Pros

      Atmosphere, industry, training, community, the pride that goes with producing an American made product and seeing our country regain it's foothold in space, benefits, retirement, DISCOUNTS, ease to enjoy city amenities, and knowing that every turn of a nut or bolt, every blob of resin, every breathing moment spent is ink in the pages of history.

      Pros

      Coolest company on the planet, and you will have an opportunity to contribute and make a difference. Every month we do something amazing, and every day you learn more about the space business. The company is still small enough that you can have a decent idea of what's going on, but big enough that there's plenty to learn and do. Management is focused on execution, and I have seen very little of the crazy bureaucracy that can ruin jobs at other companies. Corporate dumbness is not tolerated and every employee has the right to call it out and fix it.

      Cons

      The stories are true - it's a lot of hard work, but go in with open eyes and it's worth it. The feeling of being a startup means that direction can change on a dime, and attrition can be a problem.
