Pros

Fast pace projects and short development cycles allow for quick growth and experience. You get to quickly try out your ideas and find out if they work or not. Designing reusable is a problem no one has solved fully yet. As a result, management encourages out of the box thinking and calculated design risks to meet this ambitious goal. Incredible amount of responsibility given to entry level engineers.

Cons

Expectations are incredibly high for all the engineering staff at SpaceX. To meet quality and throughput expectations requires a lot of hours.

If you're organized, like a fast-paced environment, and complete what needs to be done efficiently then you will do well.

Pros

The excitement before and during launches is fantastic. There are a lot of perks like free soda, coffee barista, and frozen yogurt, great cheap food on site and many more little details that made day to day a big easier.

Cons

For me the only real negative was the location. You either had to pay way too much for a rental, live in the ghetto, or sometimes both. In the end I just couldn't afford to live close enough and couldn't keep commuting.
