      Lots of Innovative opportunities. Working at the leading Private Space Company in the world. Many perks to working here.

      Overtime seems to be the common theme here. Minimum of 60+ hours a week.

      --Feels like you're making a real difference in the future of space travel --Learn a lot in a very challenging, hands-on environment --Surrounded by genuinely talented, intelligent and enthusiastic people

      Cons

      --Poor work/life balance is common. The ideal SpaceXer seems to be one for whom work IS life. --Pay and perks are underwhelming compared to the amount of work and stress involved (but hey, the work is supposed to be its own reward...) --Not a sustainable career choice for people who want a rich life outside of work

      Pros

      Everyone is very focused and helpful. The hours aren't as crazy for software development as it is for the other developers, though it definitely is not a 9 to 5. There's always something to do, even as an intern. I think I have had maybe 2 hours total when I had nothing to do during my entire 12 weeks at SpaceX. Everything I made was used by the company and I could see who was using it.

      Cons

      Writing software for ERP isn't particularly challenging. The culture is also such that you may feel somewhat burdened to deliver results, which can be stressful for some.
