Pros

Can be a really great position and its possible to get great pay especially for people new to network admin.

Cons

Everything has a metric or % assigned to it. This is problematic because corporate averages jobs, for example. Sometimes 95 year old sally doesnt know how to use her tv. You finish the job in 5 mins. Those jobs are averaged with jobs where the wires are from 1970s and you need to rewire the entire house. Techs try to cheat the system by doing work off the clock and cutting corners which makes it to where you have to cheat to do well. This makes it easy for them to justify firing you for eaither not hitting numbers or for cutting corners.
