Pros

pay rate, rapport you build with students, seeing their behaviors and academic levels improve over time, great staff if you have them; I've gained so much confidence in my skills and personality working in my assigned classroom

Cons

can be physically, mentally, and emotionally draining working with the ED population; if you can't handle/tolerate some of their behaviors you should reconsider accepting this position-it's not for everyone

Pros

Grounded in a culture of Servant Leadership, Spectrum has been a supportive and amazing place to call home. Working with passionate and professional people, and changing the lives of children makes this a dream job. I couldn't ask for a better opportunity to grow myself professionally, and make a difference.

Cons

Improving the benefits package would go a long way with recruitment and retention.
