Repetitive, Low Pay, Soul Sucking, Good benefits!
Pros
Solid benefits, HSA, Education reimbursement, medical, dental, pto, mobile discount, HBO MAX, STARZ & free cable / internet services (if you're in footprint) Commission incentives, free prizes, money raffles, change your shift every 6 months. Selling mobile is the money maker. Top agents were making over $3,000 in commissions. HOWEVER, not everyone is a heavy hitter.
Cons
This job will suck the life out of you if you don't find a strategy. First of all, they hype you up in training for several weeks telling you how great the job is. Once you're on the sales floor you're in a "easy" call queue. After you're in full force. Call center hours range from 5am-10pm you're there for 9 hours (1 hour lunch) $20 base doesn't justify the stress of the job. Every day is the same, bulk bulk bulk, retention, residential transfers to bulk. Commission is paid out every other month, all services must be activated and remain active for 30 days. For example, you won't see your December commission until February/March. The commission structure is divided into 5 tiers. If you don't pump numbers you aren't hitting tier 1 & 2. Everyone is competing to hit those two tiers because those are the tiers that get you paid. Discounts and bundles are always changing so if you don't learn them fast you're left behind.
