Negative reputation can make the job difficult in some areas. Hard to take time off (vacation time is just base pay) if you want to earn good money.

Document everything and keep a record of everything. You can be an exemplary employee by following the rules, be a top performer, never have one write up or verbal warning and still lose your job. No matter what kind of employee you were, no matter how loyal or dedicated you might be, it doesn't matter. Because, if you get on someone in leadership's bad side, they will fire you and not have to give you a good reason or tell you why at all. I was a good employee. I followed the rules and did my job and got great results and great performance reviews for 8 years and just like that, without warning, it was gone. I would have never done anything to jeopardize my job and because of retaliation and speaking honestly about my supervisor they fired me. I now have to start over. Charter took so much away from me. And, because they lied, I may have my unemployment taken away and have to pay what I have received so for back. Just be very careful and keep notes on EVERYTHING.
