Pros

A great company in terms of product, service, employee benefits

Cons

Based on my media sales track record, I was hired as a Senior Media Sales Account Executive but with a much higher guaranteed draw for the first year than the norm - but with the caveat of selling only to brand new clients. 4 months into the job, when I missed my monthly sales quota one month (based on draw), I was told that if I didn't make it up the following month, then I would be out of a job. When I mentioned that I had made it the previous 4 months, and supposedly had a year to build up a new book of business - I was told that things had changed in management's expectations, and I had better make up the billing. Very high pressure and unethical in terms of how the job terms and expectations were presented to me. Would not have accepted the job with those new terms as pretty unrealistic.

Pros

Good benefits, medical, dental, and free cable, internet and home phone services. . Call center is open 24 hours.

Cons

It's a bad company for people with goals. I was there five years and seven months. Never got promoted once. I did everything that was recommended. They stopped allowing employees to work part time, took away all encouraging and fun programs, that made it worth working in a call center. Call centers are one of the top stressful jobs taking those things away caused most harm. I tried over 13 times to move up in the company but management picks favorites not most qualified . Part time is important for those wanting to go back to school. Months after they refuse to work with me so I could go to college I left. And will never go back. You can not pick your own hours. They no longer allow shifts to be traded. They don't care about their employees. They are never happy no matter how good you do they always find something to complain about. When I was meeting all my goals the supervisor complain that I didn't volunteer for unpaid company events. Like I own them. I use to really like charter and now I hate them just as much as I use to like them. Management not on the same page,if you ask three people the same question you will get three different answers. I could go on for hours but I have homework.
