Pros

Some flexibility depending on your department. Moderately competitive salary. Good 401k matching. Decent healthcare benefits.

Cons

This place went from best job ever to truly abysmal after Charter acquired Time Warner Cable. There are a lot of politics and in-fighting, an obvious lack of respect for key employees, an extremely siloed organizational structure, and a top-heavy management structure. Most of the best talent trickled away after the merger. Depending upon the management chain, departments range from appalling in their treatment of employees to mostly reasonable, but any upside is largely negated by a rigid, strictly dictated from the top-down "one size fits all" management approach. Even the Senior Directors seem to lack much ability to affect change at all. The technological and architectural decision making has become a joke and everyone knows it, but middle management does not seem to have any power to change this or the ability/courage to push back. Virtually all of the good management who spoke up against some of the more silly decisions being made were promptly run off. Things are incredibly disorganized and cross-organization communication is virtually non-existent. Virtually everyone I interface with seems to agree on one thing -- that the problem comes from the top.

Pros

ok benefits and free parking for those who work at their headquarters in Stamford, Ct.

Cons

Very stuffy Corporate culture and lacks diversity; boardrooms are filled with middle aged white men. Not a true reflection of the customers they serve across the country! Feel bad for those corporate professionals who came on board from Time Warner Cable after the merger. Not a place for progressive thinkers or those who thrive in innovative environments.

Pros

Access to health insurance, 401K. Some free or discounted cable, home phone, and internet. Ability to interact with new people.

Cons

Extremely disorganized company. Despite benefits being available, there are a lot of important things that you need to know and consider before enrolling in anything or accepting offer of employment. Health insurance is available but the premiums are high with limited coverage. Long term disability, Fmla, and short term disability are not available until after being employed for at least one year or 1250 hours. Unfortunately if you ever have an emergency, medical illness, etc that requires a leave of absence and you have not been with the company for one year or longer, all vacation and PTO will be used (if enough is accrued and available). If PTO and vacation days aren't available, be prepared to take an unpaid leave of absence up to 30 days if approved. Compensation is relatively lower compared to competitors and you are at the mercy of others to obtain information or access to the tools that are needed to succeed. You are required to sell a minimum amount of Triple Plays per fiscal month (Cable, Internet, and home phone). Charge backs will happen if the customer cancels or downgrades their services within 30-days of installation. If you sell any Double Play (2 services), you will not receive commission for it unless you meet the minimum required quota. You are only paid on in-turf assigned prospects that are installed within that fiscal month or 30 days outside of fiscal month as long as the sales order request is not cancelled. If it is cancelled and rescheduled within one month of working the assigned area, commission paid will be less than if it were installed in-turf during the fiscal month it was assigned. At that point the sale will not count towards required sales quota. The services that are being offered to consumers are hit or miss: some have no issues with service while others constantly encounter numerous outages or other problems that result in cancellations. Good luck with trying to resolve issues because management (supervisor, management, etc) may or may not be available as most are overwhelmed by being overworked or have quit and the position is unfilled. The majority of time you will have to refer the customer to customer service and the hours that they're available are limited.
