Pros

Given our current size and seeing how we're in a neverending state of growth, it's crazy that we don't have a single review on Glassdoor. I'm going to use the Pros section for a general review because everything is a pro, which I know sounds exaggerated or cheesy, so I'll elaborate: Spinutech is, all things considered, the ideal advertising agency. I've been here for four years and have turned down more prestigious / higher-paying jobs to continue doing so. Let's talk about the most important points: Pay & Work-Life Balance: These two go together because they have to go together. If you want to be at the top of your demographic's income bracket, go to San Fran, Seattle, or Austin. Here, you will be well compensated for the work you do (this is not an agency that overworks minions to feed the fat cats at the top). The vast majority of the time I put in a solid 40 hours per week. On a rare occassions it can bubble over to 45 or possibly 50 due to last-minute requests from priority clients. This is not the norm (for me, at least; I can't speak for management). If people work late or extra, that pressure is self-imposed. Nobody is breathing down your neck. You'll hear "You manage your own desk." It's true. We're all grown-ups here. Having a life outside of work is encouraged. Some team members are coaches for local sports teams. Some side-hustle (which is kosher, and even encouraged, as long as it doesn't interfere with your Spinuwork). Career Paths & Growth: We are still growing, but a ladder is emerging if you want to climb it. If you are an individual contributor with no ambitions for management, you can become a subject matter expert and pursue that path. There are lots of smart people here and frequent internal trainings. If you want to learn something, just ask. Team & Culture: I have worked at a crappy agency and have friends who presently work at less-than-ideal agencies. The people at Spinutech are quality. There is a level of polish required to work here. It keeps out the lowbrow gossip that makes weaker agencies implode. Some people might not like that. I see it as a positive. Management: Middle tier management is competent. Nobody is in a position via nepotism. Marc, Adam, and Cory (CEO & partners) are all genuinely good guys. Their decisions are all respectable and well-intended. You can rally behind them. To sum it up, if you want a career in digital marketing, you can have it here.

Cons

None. Glassdooor requires a five word minimum for this field. Blah blah blah.

Pros

Work life balance was fine

Cons

Leadership often tried to emulate a “big tech/startup” culture rather than focusing on the realities of the business. There was significant spending on company swag and an in-person retreat shortly after the company lost major clients. During a period of financial uncertainty, these decisions felt misaligned with employee priorities. More than anything, employees wanted clarity, stability, and reassurance around job security. The retreat, while well-intentioned, could have been handled virtually and at far lower cost. Choices like this created a disconnect between leadership priorities and what employees actually needed during uncertain times. Overall, leadership lacked strategic focus during critical moments, which negatively impacted morale and confidence in the company’s direction.
