Pros

Splunk is great. I like the startup vibe with the stability of a large longstanding company. Great people and great leadership. Also, a great reputation in the market especially since the Cisco acquisition. Also really great culture, work life balance and benefits. Great SKO event annually in Vegas. They have a lot of opportunities for new roles internally.

Cons

Splunk has changed a bit and is in flux due to the Cisco acquisition. Promotions and bonuses have halted and are in limbo which is not great for growth. Working for a company this large can be frustrating and hard to get things done. There is also a lot of different technologies and capabilities to learn and it is hard to go deep/expert level on all of them.

Pros

Growing Observability business , opportunity to grow in the networking business.

Cons

Uncertainty withe the acquisition the CEO recently left as well as Chief Product for the teams internally which affects moral and constant change of teams . Some products do overlap and it creates uncertainty with customers who have been told to build Cisco product pre acquisition and now asked to buy Splunk products post acquisition

Great pay, great work/life balance. World class products.

Cons

Many account decisions are made my upper leadership without consulting the account team. It has lead to disjointed relationships and loss of trust with customers.
