Cons
Fixed working hours (factory shifts). No possibility to change. No additional bonus. Tough & monotonous job: lots of physical effort, specially in summer when people have to operate heating machines and there is no air conditioner, only very cheap fans. One must be able to be standing up for 8 hours sometimes while operating a machine and cutting. People must be able to lift heavy weight as well. No opportunities to grow/develop besides Operations. Lack of professionalism in many aspects. Some managers don’t even have the knowledge required for their position, they don’t seem to care and at least try to improve. No company working culture. No values promoted. No goals or challenges. All they communicate are rough numbers and analysis that honestly no one understands 20 vacation days (this is the minimum amount you can get in Germany, and most of the companies offer at least 25 days). Only 1 day “off” if you’re sick. By the next day you must provide a doctor’s note. (Usually it’s after the 3rd day of sickness that you are asked to provide a note which makes sense if you are not feeling well for a long period)
