Pros

Wonderful environment! I can't say enough good things about this company. It's a very unique place, I've never worked anywhere quite like it (most likely never will). Everyone is incredibly friendly and supervisors go above and beyond to accommodate team members. My opinion was always valued.

Cons

Because there is no other place like it, the company is forging into uncharted territory. Patience is sometimes needed whilst management works on an issue.

Pros

Free stuff such as fabric. Laid back environment

Cons

Not flexible, poor management from top to bottom, managers are in place that have no idea what they're doing and play favoritism. Change occurs every other day and numerous emails that's not needed. Company is operated poorly.

Thank you for your honest feedback. I’ll admit, it’s not easy to read what you’ve written here, but I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I agree that change at Spoonflower has been frequent and I also agree that change can be uncomfortable. As our company continues to grow, our organizational changes occur in response to our changing business environment, and we continue to connect with our customers best when we can adapt to their needs. At the same time, we are working on improving our communication methods and tools in order to better manage change with our employees. You’re not alone in your feedback about the use of email; this is a frequent topic of conversation in our Town Halls and management meetings. We are implementing other internal communication tools to enable employees to communicate with each other outside of email (Slack, for example) and we’re planning to offer a “Best Use of Email” class to set standards for email use within Spoonflower. Spoonflower invests heavily in our employees. While we celebrate our collective strengths, we recognize that we all have areas that could benefit from growth and development. We are paying close attention to what these areas are and hold ourselves and our employees accountable for our collaborative growth. If you have other feedback you’d like me to know, I’d love to hear it; you can reach out to me via hr@spoonflower.com.
