Incredibly kind, nice people to work with and serve

Cons

Everyone is extremely overworked, burned out, and underpaid. Quiet hiring is the motto. The bar for excellence has to be dropped low enough to keep the school afloat, but not too low, otherwise people might start to notice. Turnover has also been extremely high as enrollment drops. Professors are being let go and staff are leaving to go pursue better ventures. People at SAU care, but they “don’t have the resources to facilitate growth.”

I really enjoyed the people that I worked with in my department. But, communication was lacking from upper administration down to the lower levels.
