      Open, Honest and Humanness are not only some of the company values at Springboard, but also the words I would use to describe every single member on the team. You are always learning in this environment, have many opportunities to learn something new, jump on a passion project or bring your interests and ideas to your role. New ideas and how we can improve are welcomed from day 1!

      Passionate people - great work environment

      Pros

      * Not 'yet another ed-tech start-up'. People here really care about the students and creating a product that makes a difference in their lives. * Lots of freedom to take ownership and try out your ideas. Fast paced and willing to experiment, yet sensible and balanced * Fun!!! Really great, genuinely nice people that you like hanging out with. * Flexibility. Getting your work done is more important than where you get it done from

      Cons

      * Growing pains-big mission, big dreams, growing rapidly - figuring out what internal structures will support our growth * Constantly running out of meeting rooms! Alas, we had to encroach the sacred library space last time

      Easily the best place I've ever worked

      Pros

      + Challenging, interesting and dynamic work + Founders and colleagues that really care about the impact we're having—it's incredibly fulfilling to see that your effort translates to real outcomes for students (and mentors) + A team that is smart, hard-working, and intellectually curious = a great environment to learn and challenge yourself + People bring their authentic selves to work here. We are a super diverse group of ethnic backgrounds, social styles, interests. + International travel! We have a team offsite that brings together the Bangalore and SF office every year. I've been to 7 different countries with many people on the team which has been great.

      Cons

      We've grown rapidly this year and communication/information flows haven't always been perfect. This is my first time at a startup this size so I'm not sure how normal this is, but it can be a challenge.
