Pros

Lots of good people, decent work-life balance, lots of change (always interesting), decent benefits

Cons

low pay, some teams have toxic cultures, leadership disconnected from day-to-day of most employees, lots of change (no chance to get your bearings)

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback; we're disappointed to hear your experience in the Stand Together community is not a positive one. We pride ourselves on our openness and commitment to our employees, so if you'd be willing, we would like to resolve this with you. I see that you're a current employee, in the interest of addressing these concerns I'd like to encourage you to reach out to your HR leader directly. Your HR leader can talk to you about the issues you've cited to make recommendations and address the issues more directly than we can here. Your experience is important to us, so we hope you'll take this opportunity to reach out.

Definite pros, but the cons are not negligible

Pros

Competitive salary and if you work hourly, there are plenty of opportunities to work overtime. They culture is mission-driven and results-driven.

Cons

Generally, they don't appear to value employees' fulfillment in order for them to be there for the long-term. In my experience, if you can't give your life to the organization, they'll find someone who can, which is very easy in DC. Unfortunately, a lot of the principles they preach about aren't put into practice at the leadership level.

Poor leadership hurts employee experience

Pros

Amazing teams at the working level-recruiting team brings in top talent. Nice office building.

Cons

Leadership makes decisions in silos and does not trust employees. The organization is not open to outside expertise. Those who succeed started there at the beginning. If you are mid or senior level beware.
