Pros

Honestly surprised. I did not expect to find such a functional, positive and efficient workplace here. Let's face it, this place is affiliated with some polarizing names. But keeping an open mind was the best professional decision I ever made. The reviews are true, the people are wonderful. Talented, encouraging, supportive, intelligent and generous with their time and resources. Your colleagues want you to succeed, for your own good. Managers take their role as leaders, mentors, and lifter-uppers seriously. They want to bring out your potential. There are no typical small office politics here, so prevalent in other workplaces. Instead, you will encounter quaint and adorable problems like minor communication errors and inefficiencies. Which will be resolved swiftly and directly, as in your coworker will gently point out how your method can be improved. It is very refreshing. And your personal politics doesn't matter much here, so don't worry if you're not very conservative. You can do well and be happy regardless of your affiliation. The best, most functional, challenging in the good way place I have worked.

Cons

It is fast-paced, busy, meeting-heavy. But as you get used to it, you realize sometimes meetings actually are good! They clear up confusion and keep people aligned. You are expected to work very hard, but it's manageable because your entire team is working hard too. Also the health insurance benefits aren't great. But all other benefits are very fair.

Pros

Talking with the directors of Stand Together was like sitting in my living room catching up with old friends who enjoy the political arena. I am excited to partner with Stand Together to have the opportunity to use my skill sets to do my part to keep our liberties and help the great state of Texas to continue to be an example of conservative values that others want to emulate.

Cons

It was a lengthy process on Zoom (my first experience with a virtual interview!)
