Pros

Easy work and not a lot of it.

Cons

Unclear goal setting from leadership, no budgets or timelines, impact measurement is unspecified. More about narrative than measurable outcomes. Worked hard on documents and projects that led nowhere. This place is great for coasting, but not for serious or meaningful work. CEO showed up unprepared to C-suite meetings and was critical rather than helpful. Even hires seemingly unrelated to politics were exposed to strong partisanship after a while.

Extremely political place

Pros

Good work life balance !

Cons

Heavily politically driven leadership, the senior staff have been there for a decade+ for just being there at the right time right place (most do not qualify) for their positions. Tons of favoritism between team leads which bends all sorts of rules and principles for the mid to lower team members. You are constantly being monitored and most times they were not providing a valid reason for laying people off, excuses such as down sizing was constantly used.
