Pros

Benefits, Access to athletic facilities

Cons

Cost of parking as an employee-- nearly $1,000 per year ! Sr departmental leadership has and nurtures her own favorites. They will also never - reclassify your job title - if you start at a basic level and take on many more duties and complex tasks -- they keep your salary at the basic level !! They care of proferroriate and senior leadership - and their few favorites who have been allowed to move outside the area and work and contribute remotely -- full time ?? Yeah right - and the rest are stuck picking up the slack on top of already overloaded work queue!! No room for growth .

Pros

Excellent benefits and retirement package, beautiful campus/town, great co-workers, ample time off. Would highly recommend working here. Very reasonable lateral/small upward movements if you have the background and experience, coupled with being a good worker.

Cons

Salary is definitely on the low end of the area for how qualified you need to be to get the job, and the annual raises are typically 1-3% of your income so the Peninsula quickly outpaces your wages. It's truthfully almost better to re-apply to a different department/division every 2 years so you can bump your title/pay grade because the standard annual raises will never match that.
