Pros

Health benefits for full time associates is good, not so much for part-time There are MOSTLY nice people in the company

Cons

A lot of incompetents in high places One way or another you'll end up taking orders from an idiot Pay stinks -- though it is no worse than similar retailers Be aware that you'll deal with VERY nasty customers-- they will make personally insulting comments and even physical threats-- but that's not really Staples' fault

Pros

For hourly part time associates they will bend over backwards to accomidate your schedual. Ability to transfer from one store to another. Really usefull for college students when they are home for the summer and for breaks.

Cons

No advancement beyond specialist positions. If you are a specialist you have to rearrange your life to fit everyone else. Poor communication from management down. Very low pay. No pay raises, they were cancelled to save our district money. Had to rearrange my wedding date because I was not allowed to take my two days off for it, after a 3 month notice.

Pros

For anyone in college this is a good job. They offer flexible scheduling and decent pay. Fairly stress free except around back to school when it's a madhouse.

Cons

No product discounts and the work is fairly monotonous. As with most hourly jobs your co-worker's work ethic can be sketchy.
