Great Place to Learn Sales/Business

Pros

Learn about every type of business there is from medical to manufacturing to you name Staples is involved as a vendor supplier.

Cons

Unreasonable quota expectations, many subsidaries that allow them to be their own competitor. In other words Staples competes against themselves - total lack of communication between divisions and sub companies NOT a good practice for solid growth. Better communications with products, services, pricing etc would give them a cutting edge advantage by effectively removing any competition.

Pros

Engaging, growth opportunities to a point, leadership listens, competitive spirit, ongoing training, consistent expectations across all stores, benefits packages are very nice.

Cons

No positive feedback provided for jobs well done, wage rate is poor and HR makes it impossible to get it fixed to stay competitive, once you hit the general manager role it's very hard to advance, demanding expectations which constantly change.

Pros

Great for students, early college or people living at home. Very little stress and the pay reflects that to a degree.

Cons

Low pay for Copy Center Associates - especially if you perform design services. Would not recommend the job to anyone with formal graphic design or comparable experience or skills because you will not be compensated accordingly.
