- Middle management is atrocious and the worst part of this job. Get ready to deal with a plethora of unclear/vague expectations, resulting in chaos, confusion, and delivery at the expense of your mental health. I have been verbally berated for even asking for expectations to be written down. Complete lack of empathy and lack of respect for WLB
- Poor WLB. There is a huge reluctance to hire new developers, at least on my team. This results in a single person taking on a pile of responsibilities that would otherwise be split amongst four.
- Lack of recognition, growth opportunities, and below-average pay for developers
