Pros

Flexible schedule, benefits kick in at 20 hrs/week and company provides 401k matching up to 5%. Opportunities to advance in the company. Free drinks and a food allowance. Good part time work for students or those looking for a second job.

Cons

Unrealistic performance expectations and inconsistent staffing leading to people being spread thin at times. Easy to burn out in a highly customer-facing role. Barista positions advertised as full time max out at ~34 hrs/week if you're unwilling to work doubles or 6-7 day weeks.
