Pros
Starbucks has a great benefits package, opportunity for promotion, high energy/ team oriented environment, opportunity to network with customers, and great discounts and perks. If you're a people person like myself that loves coffee and coffee culture and a high energy job you will thrive in this work environment.
Cons
The upper management styles will definitely dictate the overall "feel" of the district you are working for, which can be either very positive or very negative. It can create stress in partners and store managers alike or foster a great work environment that keeps morale high and store operations running smoothly. I have experienced both ends of the spectrum and the latter is hands down a much more conducive environment to work in and is much more in line with the Starbucks corporate guiding principles.
