Pros

Decent benefits, able to transfer to many different locations even across states

Cons

Starbucks has become too fast-food. Awful work hours and corporate doesn't seem to know what is going on anymore. District manager gave us quotas for selling beans. People would get in trouble for not making sales quotas of beans. Many employees were secretly buying large quantities of beans to help the managers out.

Pros

the benefits were great, they're what kept me with the company for five years. there is also opportunity for advancement

Cons

the work hours are terrible, getting up at 4am and sometimes working as late as midnight, depending on the store and the shift. A lot depends on management.
