Pros

In the beginning Starbucks seemed like a great place to work. As time went on my eyes began to open. There are only two nice things I can say about working for Starbucks. The pay is average and they support flex time. Most people have every other Friday off as a flex day.

Cons

Where to begin? To keep my rant short here are a few things…. - Benefits are awful! I can get better benefits as a vendor/contracting - Growth opportunities are very low if you are mid or senor level - There are very few good managers! Some groups are prone to micromanagers - If you are looking to gain or improve your skills this is not the company for you - There is a high turn over rate for project and program managers - Telecommuting? They talk about it but that is all – as a company that prides themselves on being “green” you would think they would do more then just “talk” about it.

Pros

Excellent and affordable benefits, good discount. At its basic level, a fun job.

Cons

Lower pay than similar jobs in similar food service/retail companies, they promote work/life balance but continuously add more work without giving you the hours to do it, expect perfection.

Pros

Medical, Dentel, Vision If you work 20 hours per week.

Cons

It hard work. If you like scrubbing floors on you hands and knees, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning the inside of trash cans, and scrubbing drains, than this is a good job for you. They work you like a dog, for every night I leave I am exhausted and sweating. And, the pay is so low 7.50 starting in my area. Also, they will write you up for almost everything, I once written up for going 2 minutes over on my 10.
