Pros

Starbucks provides a Social development training and an environment that provides the best opportunities to learn and excel in customer service and teamwork through the most challenging of situations.

Cons

Labor is consistently minimized without room for attendance failure. A disconnect from corporate and upper management to retail employees. Inconsistent company trends and hasty marketing decisions that directly affect the service of the employees to the customers. Company priorities have regressed over the last 2 years at the expense of many tenured was employees quitting.

Pros

The company has extremely high standards and values. Benefits are amazing.

Cons

Leadership moves from one gimmicky is model to the next without sticking to anything long enough to make an impact. Personality is often valued over performance. Company values often do not translate in the field.

Pros

Benefits! If you need benefits you can get them for literally 20 hours a week here. That's amazing. Free coffee, obviously amazing. The people who work here are usually fun!

Cons

The company is very micromanage-y unfortunately. You need to be comfortable sticking up for yourself and know what you can handle. Stores are very often not staffed well. Mornings can be very stressful as the company has been pushing more towards drive through times vs beverage quality. If you get this job thinking it will be a chill, easy way to get benefits...you'll be in for a shock. It's very fast paced and stressful...sometimes downright competitive for no reason at all. Don't get me wrong, it's fun! Just not an easy going, clock in clock out job. It's also owned by Nestle. If you don't know how bad that is, do some research and decide for yourself.
