Pros

Some interesting projects to work on with some really chill and awesome technicians to help perform the work. Great ideas and collaborative if one goes 'down' the heirarchy.

Cons

Extremely political, difficult to push new ideas, very structured top-down approach. Engineers have almost no say in projects and management seems to squander cool ideas that could pan out well. The lead engineers are also a bit behind the times in technology and do things very waterfall and with little innovation. It usually is a bunch of older men who think they're entitled to their job and propose ideas that are on the market already and claim them as new.

Pros

The benefits are decent. They have an onsight phsycian's office. You start with 4 weeks PTO, but there are only 6 paid holidays, and no sick leave or floating holidays.

Cons

Departments don't communicate well to each other, which doesn't help with career opportunities in other areas of the company.

Pros

Compensation and benefits are generally comparable to industry standards. There are some bright spots within the company -- individuals who lead/manage. Physical work environment is decent.

Cons

Very much an old boys club. And, the mentality is so ingrained that it resurfaces readily when difficulties arise. Contrary to what upper management would like to believe, employees are not the least bit satisfied, empowered or engaged in their work.
