Pros

State Farm is among the top insurers in the country. If you plan to have your own agency this is the place to start. Their agent aspirant program is top notch. State Farm agents are usually the highest paid in the undustry.

Cons

As a team member, you essentially have the same licenses as the Agent themselves, minus maybe a series 6 license. But you will typically make minimum wage plus commission. You are an employee to the agent and answer to them. You do not receive any State Farm benefits unless the agent you work for offers them.
