Pros

Good salary, really lax atmosphere, lots of potential OT. They monitor every little thing you do. However, since its such a big company...you are just a number so its easy to stay under the radar if you try. This could be a good and/or bad thing.

Cons

Way too many lazy people. Dealing with other peoples errors gets old real quick. Very poorly run diary system, if you've worked claims you'd understand. Definitely need at least a Bachelor's degree to get a good wage. After that, they want add'l certifications ala CPCU especially. You won't advance unless you have continued education.

Pros

The benefits are fantastic. - Park and rec leagues - Excellent Insurance - Lots of days off for various of reasons (specific time for sick leave, doctor apts, family leave, etc). - Pay is competitive for the area, if slightly low for the industry. The people are very friendly and the company has a genuine interest in giving their customers the best possible experience. The facilities are very modern at Corporate and Corporate South.

Cons

So many bloated processes and management. The management hierarchy is 5 layers deep and filled with people that have no business being in their roles. There is no accountability so lazy or ineffective workers are either promoted or moved around instead of let go. Nepotism reigns supreme with several senior leadership (including the CEO) only having their positions due to family ties. While there are some technically competent people, most are either driven off or fall into apathy against the tidal wave of incompetence and bureaucracy. I wouldn't recommend working here if you are a top technical talent as you will be surrounded by peers that were shoved into a role they are not capable of for the sake of keeping them employed. As for career opportunities, you're much better off talking the talk then advancing yourself through your work. I saw people promoted to the highest seniority level in development without writing a single line of code for years. I also saw people lagging at the bottom ranks despite possessing a high level of talent. The management is generally ignorant of modern technology so they gravitate towards business savvy people over technical rock stars.

Pros

Great work environment and a lot of good friends. Pay was decent for no experience. They take care of you.

Cons

Not much direction from the team. You are pretty much assigned a problem and they don't really mentor you through the process of writing production level code. A lot of the work doesn't actually see the light of day.
