      Pros

      It is a great company with excellent products. The policies are top notch quality. There is a lot to be said about a company that can back such good coverage as state farm has especially in homeowners.

      Cons

      If you get a greedy agent or one that thinks the world revolves around him you are set up to fail. And don't plan on getting State Farm yourself unless you have perfect credit and record. Even the bank accounts are next to impossible to get.

      Good policy interpretation instruction at claim school.

      Cons

      Management is very cut throat. You leave work pulling the knife out of your back. If you are not a minority you can't expect to get into management. Minorities that are management are not held to the same degree of responsibility as their non-minority counter-parts.There is no consistency across the states on HR matters, even with the recognition that each state has it's own laws.
